Home
Are you a young professional? A family who needs to take schooling into consideration? Do you have a pet and need some outdoor space? From Mid-Levels, The Peak to Repulse Bay and the New Territories, Hong Kong offers an eclectic mix of neighbourhoods. To check what this exciting city has to offer and at what cost, it is worth checking the estates agents websites such as Savills and Hong Kong Homes as soon as possible.
Schools
Hong Kong has three main options when it comes to types of schools you can choose from: International, Private Independent, and Public schools. To help you navigate through those option and choose the right school for your children, we invite you to look at this comprehensive School Guide put together by (real!) mums living in Hong Kong.
Healthcare
Hong Kong has a highly developed healthcare system with treatment facilities boasting some of the most state-of-the-art medical equipment. Fees for treatment in public hospitals vary by eligible and non-eligible persons, and to be eligible for government subsidised medical care you need to hold a valid Hong Kong identity card. There is no obligation to have private health insurance when moving to Hong Kong, however, we recommend you seek professional advice as choosing the right cover can be very challenging.
